Buy me some peanuts and snacking hacks.
Nacho noshing New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie got in the face of a baseball fan Sunday after he was apparently heckled while taking his seat at a game in Milwaukee.
The unpopular pol was taking a snack break at Milwaukee’s Miller Park, where the Brewers were playing the Chicago Cubs, when Christie confronted one of the fans who was calling him out, according to a reporter at a Milwaukee TV station.
Video of the head-to-head showed the failed presidential candidate getting up close and personal with Cubs fan Brad Joseph.
Christie, holding what appeared to be nachos, leaned into Joseph, who was wearing a Cubs jersey, and berated him for being a “big shot.”
“Appreciate that,” Joseph said as Christie turned and walked away.
“When he initially was going up the stairs I yelled his name,” Joseph told Milwaukee’s WISN TV station. “I yelled his name and told him that he sucked. I called him a hypocrite because I thought it needed to be said.
“He turned around back towards me and got in my face for what seemed like a long time, but was probably only about 30 seconds or a minute. First he told me, ‘Why don’t you have another beer?’ which I thought was a decent comeback, and I thought that was kind of funny. Then he started calling me a tough guy.”
Christie, an avid sports fan who has been spotted at Dallas Cowboys games, has a son, Andrew, who works in the Brewers’ front office.
In the interest of equal time, another video of Christie taken two days earlier at the ballpark showed a fan taking a selfie with the governor.
Nearly two weeks earlier, Christie was booed after snagging a foul ball at a Mets game.
