The caffeinated masses on the west side can soon rejoice, as Frothy Monkey has announced that its new Nations’ location will open next Monday, Aug. 14 at 6:30 a.m.

Located at 1400 51st Ave. North right next to Nicky’s Coal Fired, this latest outpost will mirror its other spots, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner along with coffee, wine and beer. Coffee options will range from traditional espresso and iced beverages to seasonal and signature coffee drinks.

It’s an important addition to West Nashville’s coffee scene, which up to this point has had few options to rely on other than Headquarters, which opened at the end of 2012, and Three Corners Coffee, a smaller, more off-the-beaten-path shop that opened at the end of last year.

Planned hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

And in other recent Frothy news, its 8th Ave. cafe inside record store Grimey’s Too closed at the end of July, with a note on Frothy Monkey’s website stating that it closes “as we move our efforts to the opening of our new full service Frothy in the Nations!”
