It seems like there is an error with the files for the 4x5 case hosted on Thingiverse. The holes for the switches are 14mm x 13.3 mm, instead of 14mm x 14mm like they should be. I've re-downloaded the files, and confirmed that the most recent ones have this error.

The files on github seem fine.

I just got my cases from 3D hubs, and couldn't figure out why I couldn't get the switches in. After some headscratching, checking the print settings, and finally checking the files, I found the problem.

Good find. Pinging @bruceme. I think he put those up there.

Another related issue is, 3d hubs seem to 'repair' the uploaded STL files. It seems to be safer to send the files directly to the seller.

That sounds bad. God any examples of what they change?

I've compared the original files to the ones that can be downloaded from 3d hubs after printing, and I can't see any obvious differences.

@bruceme, would it be possible to add a warning about the 4x5 file or remove it?

Is this still an issue? I just had a set printed and i had to cut the nibs off each switch hole for any of my switches (different Gateron and Kailh switches) to fit in. Though i'm pretty sure i downloaded the files from Github, can't remember now.

@chickendude This issue isn't related to the side-nubs, but to the size of the actual switch holes in the 3d model. I just checked the files from Thingiverse, and they seem fine, so I think this issue can be closed.

The nubs in the model are only compatible with Cherry MX-style switches, as you have discovered. The nubs can be removed from the 3d models by removing (with-fn 100 side-nub) from this line and regenerating the 3d models via Clojure.
