The Sullivan Tower in downtown Nashville will be demolished Saturday.

The building, which is located on 9th Avenue and Commerce Street, is scheduled to be imploded around 8:30 a.m.

Crews will close most of the roads surrounding the tower about an hour before blast time.

The building is being torn down to make way for the Nashville Yards project, which is a development with a music venue, bowling alley, a movie theater along with office and retail space.
