How Spotify Family Plan Subscribers Can Get a Free Google Home Mini

Spotify is sweetening its family plan subscription offer for the holidays. Starting tomorrow, November 1, family plan account holders in the U.S. can get a free Google Home Mini smart speaker for their listening (and voice-searching) pleasure. The offer, which runs from Thursday through the end of the year, is the result of a cross-promotional marketing deal from Google and Spotify, according to the streaming service.

To claim the promotion, go to the Spotify family site and either sign in to your family plan or sign up for one. The plan only offers one speaker per account, and only to the account owner—the name on the bill. Sometimes paying the bills pays back, I guess.

The Spotify family plan, which costs $14.99 per month, allows up to six users to share a single Spotify membership. Though all the users are technically on a single membership, each person gets their own account and has their own playlists, radio stations, etc. If you’re upgrading from a free single premium account, all of your preferences should remain in tact.

While the offer is set to run through December 31, Spotify notes that this is a limited offer, which may mean they could run out before then. If you’re eligible, take a minute and grab your free stuff.
